DANGEROUS HEAT AND DRY CONDITIONS CONTINUE
This week brings dangerous temps to the area, especially on Tuesday, where the peak heat index values were estimated near 100 to 106 degrees.
The rest of the week will remain above normal, with the hottest weather found in western and central South Dakota. It will be tough to keep up with the drying trend as temperatures remain at or above normal in the 6-10 day forecast. Unfortunately, the future forecast doesn't show much rain in the upcoming days, which will leave farmers desperate for moisture.
Make sure to consider the heat safety measures on the right to keep you and your loved ones safe.
