The Creative English class started their Monday very early this past week, leaving the parking lot at 5:15 a.m. This group of kids, chaperoned by Voni Hubbell, their Creative English teacher, took a van to the SDSU College Campus in Brookings, South Dakota, for the 2024 Highschool Press Convention. There, they learned about many press-related skills, ranging from Sports Photography, to getting a job. Overall, the trip was a success, enlightening the students in various journalistic topics related to their everyday life, like the ethicality of AI or the most effective way to attract online readers to a social media post.
