Zoomerang! Community VBS “Goodday Mates!” was the greeting that the Blockes (Boys) and Sheila’s (Girls) heard each day as they attended the community VBS which was held August 1-5th from 9-noon snd the Avon Park by the Danzig, First Baptist, First Presbyterian, and Friedenburg Bible Churches.

Guest speaker on Monday was Rachel Jones from Zoe Care in Yankton! Zoe Care is a Crisis Pregnancy Center! She talked about the value of life in the womb.

OnTuesdayKarenBerndtaretiredteacherfromAvonPublicSchool came and shared about her experience of teaching in Australia for two years! The children heard her talk about the favorite sandwich at school which was bread with baked beans!

Each day was filled with Bible lessons memory verses, singing, games, crafts and snacks.

The days concluded with a visit to Australia VBS video where the children learned that all life is valuable; along with interesting facts about the body and the country of Australia.

The offering taken during the week was donated to Zoe Care. On August 28 @ 5 p.m. the Danzig Church held a pot luck meal for the four churches that worked together in VBS ; along with the families who attended VBS.
