Dakota Bodden is a staff member and coach at Avon School District. He has been teaching for four years, all of which have been at Avon. One of Mr. Bodden’s hidden talentsisaslightphotographic memory-he is able to recall things he sees like maps. Mr. Bodden answered that if he won the lottery, he would not give up teaching. He says, “No amount of money would keep him from teaching, but if he could do something else he wouldtrainhighlevelathletes, or work for the state education department.” Mr. Bodden describes a good day at school as kids seeing personal growth. Something that inspires Mr. Bodden is the idea that he can achieve anything he wants to. The school sports and activities Mr. Bodden likes to watch are football and track.
Mr. Bodden’s first memory in school was in Mrs. Green’s thirdgradeclass.
He stated that she had this candy dispenser on her desk, and if you were good you would get a piece of candy.
One day, little Dakota decided to just go take one.Whenhedid, Mrs. Green asked himwhyhetookit andhesaidthathedidn'tknow, hejustwantedapieceofcandy. Mrs. Green kept asking him, “Why did you do it?” He just didn’t know what to say. Mrs. Green kept him after school that day, and she made him explainwhyhetookit.Hesaid, thismadehimunderstandthat there is a reason behind every behavior.
IfMr.Boddenwastosurvive a zombie apocalypse, he said he would survive pretty long, he says, “I would do anything to survive, it's the best thing in the world to be alive, I would do anything motivated to stay alive, I can’t imagine how it would be to be dead.” When asked if he could grow up in any decade, he would want to grow up in this one. He says, “This decade is the most prosperous we’ve ever been.” He also said he likes technology. A quote that Mr. Bodden lives by is “No winter lasts forever, no spring skips its term”.

Mr. Timothy Leibel is one of the assistant football coaches for the Avon football team, and also serves as the Physical Education Teacher. Mr. Leibel is married to Sara Leibel, and together they have two daughters, Dakota and Thea. Mr. Leibel stated that a good day at school is when the kids are enjoying the activities, and he can join in on the activities being played. Leibel says the best thing about being a teacher is the schedule. One of his first memories from school is the first day at football practice getting to know all of the kids.
During the summers, Mr. Leibel comes to the school to work with the students in strength and conditioning. He also goes to New York and Florida every summer. One school sport that Leibel enjoys watching is throwing in track because as a thrower, you can see what you do wrong and fix it right away to better improve your throw. If Leibel could pass any knowledge to his students he would say just keep moving forward.OnequotethatMr.Leibel livesbyis,“Toughtimesdon’tlast, tough people do.”
