Mrs. Raja Brandt has worked in the Avon School District since 2003. She began working as a para, but for the last nine years she hastaughtpreschool.Before teaching preschool at the school, she had her own at home preschool.
Atypicaldayinpreschool starts with the preschoolers completingtheirmorningjobs andthenhavingfreeplaytime. Then, they do circle/calendar timeandtablework.Afterthat they have snack and recess. Next, they have book/puzzle time, story time, and a fun activity like a song or some othermovement.Finally,they pack up to go home. Recently, the preschoolers have been learning all about apples and everything else to do with fall. They are learning their letters, how to write their name, and counting to twenty. They also how been working on their cutting and gluing skills! The preschoolers took a field trip to “Mazing Acres Pumpkin Patch” and teacher, Mrs. Brandt, says that is her favorite moment thus far! Mrs. Brandt is looking forward to seeing the preschoolerslearnnewthings every day!
When Mrs. Brandt isn’t teaching she enjoys traveling withherfamily,attendingconcerts, shopping, camping, and attending all of her children’s activities. A few fun facts about Mrs. Brandt include: she loves Hot Tamales, anything caramel and coffee, and she enjoys cheering on the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Vikings, whichareherfavoritesports teams!
