CITY OF LAKE ANDES PROCEEDINGS CONTINUED

Legislative Days in Pierre, SD February 12, 2019. All in favor, motion carried.

The council discussed looking for winged finishing mowers. Follow up at the March 2019 meeting.

The council reviewed a request from Houseman to send Medicine Horn to Pool certification school in Sioux Falls. Motion by Nelson, second by Parker to approve sending Medicine Horn to Pool Certification School in Sioux Falls, SD, April 9 & 10, 2019. All in favor, motion carried.

The council was reminded that gas purchases will go to Gus Stop III this month.

The council discussed the cost of insulating the shop. The cost of replacing the garage door was also discussed. The council will discuss this further and review more quotes at the March 2019 meeting.

The council was reminded to let Houseman know if they are planning on attending the District IV SDML Meeting in Winner, SD.

Roberta Archambeau was present to discuss the letter she received regarding her property at 125 N 2nd Ave. The nuisance issues with the property were discussed. Archambeau was informed that the plumbing issues needed to be resolved and clean up the exterior of the property in order to stop the condemnation process. Motion by Parker, second by Nelson to allow Roberta Archambeau until July 1, 2019 to resolve the plumbing issues and get the exterior of the property properly maintained. All in favor, motion carried.

Sheriff Randy Thaler was present to discuss the Charles Mix County Law Report.

The council discussed the property located at 135 N 5th Ave. The council was informed that Rob Gray had responded to the letter stating that he is using the building for storage. Gray committed to fixing the windows and securing the property. Gray also stated that, that specific property would most likely be demoed by him with in the next 2 years. Motion by Nelson, second by Frandsen to grant Gray until July 1, 2019 to get the property secured, cleaned up and windows repaired. All in favor, motion carried.

The council was reminded that Legislative Days were February 5, & 6, 2019. Mayor Frederick, Councilman Steven Nielsen, and Councilwoman Amanda Frandsen.

Jason Laska was present to discuss the Lawn Mower race Track and the Bull-A-Rama at 7:15 pm. Laska informed the council that the Lawn Mower race have been removed from the Fish Days Activities. The council discussed what would become of the track. Laska stated that the lights could bye moved to the Little League Field and asked of the council wanted the rink bladed flat. The council continued the conversation regardingtheBull-A-Ramaand the areas which Laska has assisted with in the past.

Motion by Nelson, second by Parker to adjourn the meeting at 7:34 pm. All in favor, motion carried.
