It will be 'beginning to look a lot like Christmas' in Lake Andes Friday, December 1st as the City of Lake Andes and the Lake Andes Community Club are sponsoring the following Holiday activities: Lake Andes businesses will be holding Customer Appreciation throughout the day.

Free Kids Movie at the new Library from 3:45 to 5:30 p.m. Ft. Randall Pink Ladies are sponsoring a Holiday Craft Fair at the Duck Inn from 5 to 9 p.m. and will also have a concession stand.

The 5th Annual Holiday Parade of Lights will begin at 6 p.m. Line-up will take place at the Lake Andes Health Care Center at 5:30 p.m. and proceed past the City Park and conclude at the Christmas Tree on Main Street. This years theme is 'Christmas'. The parade is open to entires by families, organizations, businesses, farms, etc. The only requirement is the entry needs to be lighted. Text entries to Mary Jo Parker at (605) 481-0111, or by email maryjoparker572@gmail.com The Lighting of the Christmas Tree, located on the empty lot at 3rd Avenue and Main Street will take place at 6:30 p.m. or when the parade concludes. Pictures with Santa can be taken after the lighting.

Customer appreciation drawings for turkeys and hams will be held after the Parade of Lights at the Christmas Tree. Businesses in Lake Andes have tickets available until 3 p.m. Friday, December 1st.
