Holiday cheer begins early for school activities. On December 9, the Avon Junior High and High School choirs performed their Christmas pieces to the public.

For the choir section it started with the junior high choir performing “Angels and Shepherds” with Jonathan Hento, Tyler Tjeerdsma, and Gunnar Voigt accompanying on the trumpets, then “Christmas Eve is Here” with the bell choir and percussion, and they finished singing with “A Marshmallow World.”

The concert ended with the high school choir. They started with a cover of “That’s Christmas to Me” by Pentatonix with soloists Ashley Tolsma, Gunnar Voigt, Haley Gillette, and Grace Vanderlei. Then they performed an acapella cover of “O Holy Night.” After that, they sang a cover of “Heaven Everywhere” by Francesca Battistelli, and then they finished with their staple song of “Peace, Peace.”
