The Charles Mix County 4-H Club Junior Leader President for the 2024-2025 season is Emery Bultje. Emery is the daughter of Bryce and Darci Bultje and resides in Lake Andes. Emery has been a part of the Charles Mix County 4-H Club for nine years, beginning when she was eight years old.
When asked what made Emery want to become President of the Junior Leaders, she said that she wanted to take on the role of president in order for her to expand her leadership skills and set a good example for younger members. One of the goals that Emery has for herself in her position as president is for the Junior Leaders to have more information readily accessible about possible career paths that any member may be interested in.
Emery participates in the cat, chicken, and sheep shows. She also does a variety of static exhibits. Not only is Emery an active member of the Junior Leaders and Charles Mix County 4-H Club, but she is also active at Andes Central School in NHS, FFA, and is President of the Andes Central Student Council. Emery feels that the most valuable skills she has learned throughout her years of participating in 4-H are being responsible and reliable. One of her favorite 4-H memories comes from her younger days in 4-H when she would go to camp at Lake Poinsett.
