CATCH THE WAVE WITH WAGNER POOL FUNDRAISING ON #GIVINGTUESDAY

By

Nearly 400 nonprofits in South Dakota are participating in South Dakota’s first-ever Day of Giving on #GivingTuesday, November 27, 2018 and Wagner Pool Fundraising is among them. Each week participating nonprofits have taken part in challenges in hopes of winning prize money from the South Dakota Prize Pool. The prize money is made possible from donations by generous individuals, businesses and foundations. While Wagner Pool Fundraising has not received a prize yet, they were selected as one of ten to be highlighted on In the Moment on South Dakota Public Broadcasting Radio at 12:49 on November 27, 2018. However, these nonprofits can also take donations directly. Go to https://www.southdakotagives.org/wagner-community-pool-fundraising-inc if you would like to give directly to Wagner Pool Fundraising. South Dakota Gives does not take a penny from the donations received. South Dakota gives simply provides the tools, resources and South Dakota Prize Pool for nonprofits large and small across the state.

Some of the projects that Wagner Pool Fundraising has completed for this campaign include a video thanking Kendra Kjeldgaard for being an outstanding volunteer and learning about her passion to help with this project, a video of Wagner Waves Swim Team members telling why Wagner needs a new pool, and a video at our first annual Haunted Butcher Shop. The committee is not stopping there, however. On Giving Tuesday, the committee is hosting a “Float and Flick” in partnership with Wagner Community School. Community members are invited to come to the Wagner School Pool at 6:00 to watch a movie from the comfort of a floaty. Remember to bring your favorite inner tube or floaty (or lounge chair if you don’t want to get wet).
