On January 21, the Avon Drama department will be performing their serious one-act play, The Empty Chair by Tim Kelly. It focuses on the struggle of drug and alcohol addiction and losing a loved one to overdose.

Cast and crew include Haden Cahoy, Rachael DeJong, Kiara Driesen, Haleigh Tjeerdsma, Caleb Wallinga, Erica Cahoy, Gunnar Voigt, Ashley Tolsma, Kaleigh Wallinga and Brielle Voigt.

The performance will be at 7:00 pm in the Avon High School gym. This performance helps prepare the cast to perform in Mitchell for their district competition. It helps them with timing: setting the stage, performing the act, and tearing down the set.
