Avon Drama Department started practice for this year's two-act play. This comedy performance will be on April 9. The play is titled How I Met Your Mummy.

Mummy is a farce made up of eleven characters and based on the O. Howe Dulle Museum’s latest addition, a mummy named Yo-Wut-Sup. Penny Dreadful, a pushy reporter, wants to prove the mummy is a hoax. Three high schoolers want to use the mummy as a prop in their horror film, and two clueless robbers want to steal the mummy…if only they knew what it looked like.

Can Melvin Trimble, the world’s most cowardly security guard, stop all of them considering it’s his first night on the job?

Cast members of the play are Wanda Lucre (Tiffany Pelton), Dr. Dusty Bones (Kiara Driesen), Melvin Trimble (Haden Cahoy), Penny Dreadful (Kaeli Wallinga), Muggs (Noah Watchorn), Sparky (Caleb Wallinga), Pei-Nin-Dah-Nekh (Ashley Tolsma), Ralph (Gunnar Voigt), Carla (Erica Cahoy), Jody (Haleigh Tjeersdma), and Yo-Wut-Sup (Trevor Eggers).
