CARMINDY FERWERDA
Carmindy Joy Ferwerda was born on June 12, 2007 to Angie and Randy Ferwerda. Carmindy has one sibling named Justin. In her free time, she enjoys showing beef cattle, dairy cattle, and dairy goats in 4H. Carmindy’s favorite subject in school was biology because she found it interesting how organisms interact with each other and their surroundings. One quote that Carmindy finds inspiring is, “Don’t be afraid to go after what you want to do and what you want to be. But don’t be afraid to be willing to pay the price.” -Lane Frost. When asked who her biggest role model was, she said, “My dad because he is hard- working and does what he enjoys as a job and has taught me to enjoy what I do.” A piece of advice she gives to the underclassmen is: “Stay on top of your work and have a positive attitude; it helps the days go by quicker.” Some of Carmindy’s many accomplishments include getting selected for the NHS and buying her cattle herd in partnership with the Junior Herdsman Project. After highschool, Carmindy plans on attending SDSU for Animal Science/Pre-Vet. Her favorite memory from her time at AHS was getting to make breakfast in Physics and Chemistry. The thing she will miss most about AHS is having odd conversations in history that do not have anything to do with what we are learning.
