CALL OUT TO JESUS?
MATTHEW 14:22-32 "And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away. And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: And when the evening was come, he was there alone. But the ship was now in the midst of the sea tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. And in the forth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw him, walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit, and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I: be not afraid. And Peter answered him and said, If it be thou (doubting ) bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said come, And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous ( violent) he was afraid: and beginning to sink, He cried, saying, Lord save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt.. And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased."(KJV)
This scripture indicates by example, that sometimes we may endure situations that may cause us to fear, or put us in a place where we can do nothing for ourselves.
Peter was doing fine walking on the water until he did something that he shouldn't have done. He took his eyes off Jesus--and saw things were a mess around him--and that is when he started to sink. Then he brought his eyes again on Jesus and called out to Him,saying, Lord save me
We must not do what Peter did--First he doubted Jesus, then he took his eyes off of Jesus, and then he began to sink.
When we are faced with a problem we cannot fix--we have faith that God will pull us out of the problem. We must keep our eyes on the Lord. If anything we should increase our faith in Him.
Peter lost his faith, but returned to his faith when he cried out to Jesus.
If for some outside reason your faith has begun to falter--call out to Jesus, as is said in the Bible, and say to the Lord, increase my faith.
He will if you are serious, and He will pull you out of your problem.
Keep the faith, never doubt the Power of God over your problems.
When in need, do you call out to Jesus?
