Brenson Ratzlaff is a Pirate of the Week this week. He is the son of David and Amber Ratzlaff and a brother to Grayson, Dawson, Stella, and Camdon. Brenson is involved in football, basketball, and track. Brenson balances his schoolwork and extracurricular activities by doing his work at school or at home. When asked what his biggest challenge in school is, he replied, “science because it's hard to understand things.” Brenson has many proud moments in school, but his biggest was being able to make it to Junior Olympics. When asked about his future plans, he replied, “hopefully go to college for sports.” Brenson is motivated to do his best in school so he can stay in sports. Brenson’s advice to underclassmen is: Try your hardest in school, and it will pay off in the end. Brenson likes Avon for its history, the sports AHS provides, and the opportunities to find friends.
