Brad Poppe was named Honorary Referee at the Avon Track Meet on April 12th.

Brad graduated from Avon High School in 1986 with a degree in Business. He has been teaching for 37 years.

Poppe began his career in Lake Andes and has been employed at Avon the past 35 years. Brad teaches business classes and is also the Network Administrator.He has coached various sports over the course of his career. He has been the Head Girls Basketball Coach for the past 29 years with great success. In the spring, Brad operates the automatic timing system for area schools during track meets.

Brad is married toShelly and they have two children and two grandchildren. Megan is married to Brand Heyden and they live south of Burke. Megan is a Nurse Practioner in Gregory and Brand is a Rancher. They have two children: Havorly 8 and Henry 3. Nick is married to Brooke Doty. They reside in Tontitown, Arkansas, where Nick is a Financial Advisor and Brooke is an Occupational Therapist.

Brad enjoys many physical activities, but truly enjoys riding bikes and watching a variety of sports.

Brad was honored and privileged to receive this award.
