Avon 41, KWL 52 Avon hosted Kimball/White Lake February 16th where they boys found themselves down 41- 52 as the final buzzer sounded. Landon Thury led the scoreboard with 11 points, Trace Pelton had 10, Aziah Meyer had 8, Al'Shamon Gunter had 6, and Noah Watchorn, Paxton Bierema and Trevor Eggers each added 2. Meyer led in rebounds pulling down 7, Thury had 6, Gunter and Bierema each had 4, Trace Pelton and John Fathke each had 3. On the defense, Bierema had 4 steals and Meyer and Watchorn each had 1. Avon 57, FA 64 The boys traveled to Scotland February 17th to compete at the Great Plains Tournament where they faced off against Freeman Academy. This was a great match-up but the boys suffered the tough loss 57-64. Thury led the scoreboards with 30 points Meyer had 13, Trace Pelton had 10 and Bierema and Gunter each added 2. Thury and Trace Pelton led in rebounds pulling down 10 each, Meyer had 7, Gunter had 4, Watchorn had 3 and Bierema had 2. On the defense Fathke had 2 steals for the night.
