What has this chapter been doing? This past year they have assisted the local high school trap shooting teams in Bon Homme and Scotland with the Ford Raffle truck tickets allowing them to raise funds to offset cost. We have donated to the farm bill program and this year Pheasants Forever was able to place Tyler Rafter a farm bill biologist in Tyndall to help the FSA and Natural resources offices. The chapter continues to contribute $3000 to the No Child Left Indoors initiative, $2500 to the South Dakota Farm Bill Biologist program, $3000 to the Legislative Action Fund, provided refreshments and snacks for local Hunter Safety Courses as well as guided youth on pheasant hunts, some kids for their first time. In the past donations have included Hutchinson County 4H archery group. Handicap fishing docks in Tyndall and Scotland, Springfield Izaak Walton Club to assist in the development of an archery range, donated for land acquisitions getting more hunting and fishing access to the general public, Springfield Marina Dredging project, pollinator education programs, donated to enhance the Heritage GPA by Tabor, formerly the Znedek Property fishing area and assisted along with the Yankton Area Pheasants Forever Chapter for the native seed planting that was done on the property. Be on the lookout for the chapters moving billboard trailer. The trailer is used for banquet item storage and promoting the upcoming banquet date and location. The sponsors that support the chapter with a $250 and higher donation are listed with their logo on the trailer to help promote their business as a bonus for making a donation as a banquet sponsor. By supporting the Chapter at the banquet, all the sponsors, donors and attendees have made the list above possible. The Chapter is very grateful to all those helping make these things possible throughout the years. Hope to see you all at the family friendly banquet Saturday, August 28th in Tyndall.
