BIOLOGY STUDENTS CREATE CELL PROJECTS
Studying living cells is essential in the study of biology. Creating a replication or interpretation of the cell has become an essential project. This project consists of a 3D model, a t-shirt or a poster. The students get to choose which cell project they want to do.
The 3D model could be food or any touchable product the student wanted it to be as long as the result was a plant or animal cell, and followed all the guidelines of the assignment.
The t-shirt option consisted of an image that the student(s) had to create (It couldn’t be printed; it had to be created by the student.) of either the plant or animal cell, and the definitions of each organelle.
For the poster, students had to create either a plant or animal cell based on a theme (One was made of characters from Family Guy; one used Grey’s Anatomy; and one used basketball.), and had to write analogies for each of the organelles. They were allowed to print the analogies, but students had to create the actual cell.
