Bon Homme/Scotland/ Avon will take five girls to the state wrestling tournament this Thursday-Friday-Saturday, February 22-23-24, at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls. Britney Rueb, 120-pound Sophomore, is 24-2 and seeded second. Hadlee Kracht, 126-pound Freshman, takes a 29-14 record to state. Peyton Hellmann, 138-pound Junior, is 38-0 and the number one seed. Ashley Tolsma, 165-pound Junior is 16-17, and Hope Kemnitz, 185-pound Sophomore is 11-14. The first round is Thursday starting at 10:00 a.m. with the second session starting at 4:00 p.m. involving the quarter-finals matches only. Friday wrestling begins at 9:30 a.m. with first and second-round consolation matches. The second session Friday begins at 3:00 p.m. with semi-finals and third-round consolation matches followed by the fourth-round consolation matches. Saturday has the placement matches (3rd-5th7th) beginning at 10:00 a.m. and the championship matches are scheduled for Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. The girls tournament is just one class, but the boys tournament includes Class A and Class B divisions with all three divisions wrestling at the same time.
