Britney Rueb and Quinn Buter(Lemmon-McIntosh)met in the finals featuring the toptwo girls at 120 pounds, with Britney losing a 4-6 decision. Earlier she won by fall over Kyla Stanczyk (St. Thomas More) in 1:12 and over fifth-rated Anna Henstein (Rapid City Central) in 2:45.

HadleeKracht-126lostinthe finals to second-rated Cateri Yellow Hawk (Sully Buttes) by fall in 3:24. Earlier Hadlee had a bye and then won by fall over Kendalyn Pesch (Douglas- Rapid City Christian-New Underwood) in :57.

Bailey Kemnitz-132 finished fourth with a 2-2 record, won by fall over Gigi Knapp (Rapid City Central) in 2:29, lost by fall toSerenitySchell(HotSprings) in 6:00, won by fall over Natalie Dierksen (Rapid City Central) in 4:45 and lost the consolation matchtoKayliMorgan(Custer) by fall in 1:21.

Leah Whittington-138 lost by major decision 0-12 to Jillian Heisler (Spearfish) and by fall to Wounsina Homer (Todd County) in 1:10 and won by medical forfeit over Teagan Vining (St. Thomas More) to finish seventh.

Peyton Hellman-145 won three matches all by fall over Jayce Turbiville (Harding County) in 1:15, over Kaelyn Jack(LakotaTech)in:46andin the finals over third-rated Sarah Rickenbach (Hot Springs) in 2:51.

Hope Kemnitz was 2-1 in the round-robin format at 185-pounds to finish second winning by fall over Cayden Halls(HotSprings)in2:38,won by fall over Caroline Frank (Red Cloud) in :56 and lost by fall to Eriah Big Crow (Lakota Tech) in :57.

Thegirlsdonothavearegion tournament so at this time we are not exactly sure how many will be qualifying for the state tournament in the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls February 22-23-24. It is based on a seeding formula set up by the SDHSAA.
