PROVERBS 3:7-12 7) 'Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

8) It will be health to thy navel and morrow to thy bones.

9) Honor the Lord with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase: 10) So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

11) My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of His correction: 12) For whom the Lord loveth He correcteth: even as a father the son whom he delighteth.'( KJV) As we read these verses we can see God's message for us: In VERSE 7--Don't think that all things around you are good. Think about them as to be good or evil. Fear the Lord and choose the correct onedepart--from the evil.

In VERSE 8- Turning away from evil and obeying God will bring health to you and spiritual grace will help you to live a much more spiritual life for the Lord.

In VERSE 9- Honor the Lord with the substance means-Give glory to God for al that He has given you, and keep in mind that all you haveeverything-has been provided by the Lord. remember that everything you have is His, offer the first of whatever He gives you. in VERSE 10- In giving the glory to God for all that you have faithfully--you will see that God rewards you with more of what you have--even to give you abundance so that you will have plenty and even more to share with others. in VERSE 11- Don't be upset when God chastises ( corrects ) you for not doing what He wants of you, because He only does it to get you back to loving honoring and serving Him as He wants you to do.

In VERSE 12--God loves you very much and wants to bless you for your service to Him, but when you fail to do it- He chastises younot because He doesn't love you--but because He does love you. Just as parents love their children when they disobey them. His love is eternal, He blesses those who love Him and follow His Word.

So are you wise and depart from evil?
