The Wagner Red Raiders fell 16-1 to the Castlewood Warriors in the first game of the tournament. Brylie Link led the way with the only hit of the game bringing in one run. Aubrey Kazena and Sydney Cournoyer both walked once for the Red Raiders. Mara Wright was in the circle for Wagner, striking out one and walking six.

In the second game of the day the Red Raiders lost a close one 3-4 to Elkton-Lake Benton. Ravyn Medricky opened up scoring in the second after hitting a solo in the park home run. In the top of the 4th Sydney Cournoyer singled, Medricky’s doubled brought in Cournoyer, and Bella Kotab singled which brought in Medricky. Down one in the top of the 5th, Aubrey Kazena drew a walk and Hannah Holzbauer singled, but were both left on base. Holzbauer was in the circle for the Red Raiders striking out five and walking three.

In the final game of the day Wagner fell 19-3 against Avon. Holzbauer had pitching duties for Wagner striking out nine and walking fourteen. Medricky led the raiders with two hits in two at bats. Holzbauer, Link, Mia Dion, and Mara Wright each had one hit for the Red Raiders. Holzbauer scored two and Link contributed the final run. Cournoyer, Dion, and Medricky each drove in one run with their hits.

It was a beautiful day of softball for the Red Raiders first tournament of the year. Each girl fought hard and did their best.
