The Avon School District hired Kamron Haase for the 2024-2025 school year as the Physical Education and Health teacher. Kamron is a first-year teacher. He grew up in Hayti and is a graduate of the Hamlin School District. After graduation, Kamron attended college at North Dakota State University to obtain his teaching degree and did his student teaching at the Henry School District. Kamron wanted to become a teacher after having a good Physical Education teacher when he was in school. His teacher made Kamron want to learn and teach students how to live a happy and healthy lifestyle, which he wanted to incorporate into his own life as well. When asked what made him want to become a part of the Avon School District’s team, Kamron said that his mom had grown up in the area and he wanted to work and live in this part of the state. What Kamron really enjoyed during his visit to the Avon School District was how active everyone was in different school activities, which was a driving force for Kamron to want to be a part of the Avon community. Kamron is looking forward to seeing his students grow as well as watching their progress throughout the year. He is very excited about what his students will teach him not only as a teacher and coach, but as a person as the year goes on. Kamron’s goals for the school year include finding ways to keep all of the students as active as possible and helping them find ways to stay active outside of the classroom. In addition to being a first-year teacher, Kamron is also coaching Junior High football and track. Kamron comes from a family of five with one brother and one sister. Some exciting news is that he just recently got engaged. In his free time, Kamron enjoys being outdoors where he spends his time hunting and fishing. His favorite movie is “Remember the Titans”. One item on his bucket list is to take a fishing trip in Alaska. Welcome to the Avon School District, we hope you have a wonderful year!
