Student of the month is to recognize students on things they have done really well academically, as well as their achievements, behavior and contributions to Avon School.

Noah Watchorn, son of Jaime Watchorn and John Fathke, was selected as September Student of the Month. Sarah Swier, daughter of Theresa and Scott Swier, was selected as October Student of the Month. For many teachers, it was a bit challenging because there are so many students to pick from.

High School SOMs get they get a designated parking spot; 25 percent discount off prom flower from Avon’s Flower Shop; 5 Chamber bucks from Avon Community Bank; a gift certificate for a burger, fries, and pop from Tolsma’s Cove; Avon Pirate gear from Cahoy’s Service; and a yard sign from the Avon Booster Club.
