One January Student of the Month for elementary school was Mason Johnson, a kindergartener in Mrs. Kocmich's class. His parents are Mark and Samantha. His siblings include his twin Gabriel, his sisters Ava and Sydney, and his twin sisters Lillian and Evelyn. His favorite thing to do is play with Legos and Tyson Voigt. His favorite subject in school is math. He has two dogs named Bailey and Lucy. He has two cats named Sweetheart and Buddy. School has taught Mason to be a better friend. The best part of Mason’s day is helping others.

The other January Student of the Month for elementary school was Leonetta (Netty) Lane. She is six-years-old and is in Mrs. Kuhlman’s first grade class. She is the daughter of Jamie and David Lane. Her siblings are Lilly, Jonathan, Jackie, and Lydia. Netty’s favorite thing to do is play outside. She is really good at math, and she also likes phonics. She has a lab named Tigger and a wiener dog named Amity. School has taught Netty to be kind to others… Treat people like it’s their birthday. For Netty, the best part of the day is recess and seeing her teacher.
