AVON POST PROM COMMITTEE AND AVON/DANTE PINK LADIES DONATE TO LIPPINCOTT FAMILY
The Avon Lady Pirates held 'Dig Pink Night' on Monday, October 18th where the Post Prom Committee and the Avon/Dante Pink Ladies chose to donate to the Lippincott family this year. Below is what the committee announced during this recognition.
"The Avon Post Prom Committee would like to thank everybody who purchased shirts. The Post Prom Committee is blessed to be part of such a great community whom supports our fundraisers to help provide a safe, drug/alcohol free event for our high school students following prom.
Scott is the local technician for Golden West Communications and has been servicing the Avon area for 15 years. Scott has been recently diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. Speaking on behalf of the Avon Community, it hurts when we see one of our ‘businessmen’ fall ill.
On behalf of the Post Prom Committee & Avon/Dante Pink Ladies, we are donating $300 each (total of $600) to the Lippincott family for expenses they will endure during Scott’s fight in the battle against cancer.
Scott and his wife Kim have two young children at home, Karlee, age 12 & Jett, age 10. Accepting the donations were Scott & Kim."
The surrounding communities are welcome to attend the benefit in his honor on Saturday, November 13th at the Springfield Community Center. More information can be found on the event facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/groups/221975819983881
