Avon Pirates football season kicked off Friday, August 22 at home facing off against Colman-Egan with Pirates taking the big win 38-0. The second quarter had the Pirates in the end zone for the touchdown four times as Easton Sees started the scoreboard off with 8 taking in a 69 yard run and 2-point conversion, Cale Cooper had a 3-yard run and 2-point conversion, Al'Shamon Gunter completed a 25-yard return and 2-point conversion, and a 54 yard pass completion from Quarterback Easton Sees with 2-point conversion to end the first half 32-0. The fourth quarter Trent Soukup had a 1-yard run for the touchdown to end the game 38-0. On the offense Sees rushed for 84 yards and 1 touchdown, C. Cooper rushed for 54 yards and 1 touchdown, Soukup rushed for 42 yards and 1 touchdown, Brenson Ratzlaff rushed for 7 yards, Weston Bierema rushed for 6 yards, Zander Fathke rushed for 6 yards and Grayson Ratzlaff rushed for 3 yards. On the defense, Gunter had 7 tackles and 1 sack, Braylon Fathke had 7 tackles and 3 assists, Bierema had 3 tackles, Randall Powers had 2 tackles and 1 assist, Mason Jolley had 2 tackles, Treyvan Talsma had 1 tackle and 3 assists, Lance Odens had 1 tackle and 2 assists, Jacob Ratzlaff had 1 tackle and 1 assist, Dominic Doom had 1 tackle, C.
