The Avon Pirates traveled to Gayville on Tuesday, February 17 to take on the Gayville/Volin Raiders and came away with a strong 48-24 victory. Al’Shamon Gunter led the Pirates with a dominant performance, finishing with 16 points, 11 rebounds, 1 steal and 3 blocks. Zander Fathke added 15 points while contributing across the stat sheet with 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. Cale Cooper chipped in 6 points and 4 rebounds along with an assist. Dominic Doom added 5 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal. Grayson Ratzlaff recorded 2 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal, while Brenson Ratzlaff finished with 2 points and 3 rebounds. The win improves the Pirates’ season record to 7-11.
