AVON PIRATES DOMINATE ANDES CENTRAL/DAKOTA CHRISTIAN TRIPP/DELMONT/ARMOUR 60-6 ON HOMECOMING NIGHT

The Avon Pirates gave their fans plenty to cheer about on Homecoming night, delivering a dominant 60-6 victory over the Andes Central/Dakota Christian/ Tripp/Delmont/Armour (AC/DC-TDA) Thunderhawks on Friday.

Avon struck early in the first quarter, with Jacob Ratzlaff opening the scoring on a 6-yard touchdown run. Treyvan Talsma followed with a touchdown and a successful 2-point conversion to extend the lead. Randall Powers added another score with a 2-yard run and converted the 2-point attempt, closing the first quarter at 22-0 in favor of the Pirates.

The Pirates continued their offensive surge in the second quarter. Easton Sees scored on a 13-yard run and added the 2-point conversion. Weston Bierema contributed a 10-yard interception return for a touchdown, followed by another successful 2-point conversion. Bierema then connected with Braylon Fathke on a 51-yard touchdown pass, with Fathke converting the 2-point play to give Avon a 46-0 lead.

The Thunderhawks managed to get on the board before halftime with a 2-yard touchdown pass to Alex Werkmeister, bringing the halftime score to 46-6.

In the third quarter, Grayson Ratzlaff broke free for a 20-yard touchdown run and added the 2-point conversion to extend the lead to 54-6. The final score of the game came in the fourth quarter, as Zander Fathke sealed the Homecoming victory with a 45-yard touchdown run, finalizing the score at 60-6.
