Avon Community School hosted the Great Plains Classic Basketball Games on Saturday, January 23rd. The results follow:

Leading the offense for Freeman Academy/Marion was Jada Koerner with 22 points and 17 rebounds. Alivea Weber had 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals. Estelle Waltner had 6 rebounds and Alexa Gortmaker had 2 steals.

Leading the offense for Marty was Hawk Bair with 15 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals. Kass Arcoren had 11 points and 3 steals. Aaliyah Garneaux had 10 rebounds and Alexis Walking Eagle had 9.

Leading the offense for Colome was Libbie Petersek with 21 points, 2 assists and 2 steals. Makayla Shippy had 16 points, 4 assists and 7 steals. Liz Yeaman had 9 points, 11 rebounds and 3 steals. Saydee Heath had 7 points and 5 rebounds. Clarissa R. Shield had 7 points. Baylie Hoffine had 8 rebounds.

Leading the offense for Gayville-Volin was Molly Larson with 10 points .

Leading the offense for Centerville was Thea Gust with 13 points and Hailey Meyer had 12 points.

Leading the offense for Alcester-Hudson was Elly Doering with 28 points and 14 rebounds. Abby Walth had 9 points and 4 assists.

Leading the offense for Avon was Courtney Sees with 16 points. Ali Sees had 7 rebounds and Katie Gretschmann led in assists. The team was 33% from the field with 17 of 51, 27% for 3-point attempts with 3 of 11 and 35% for 2-point attempts with 14 of 40. From the charity stripe they shot 35% sinking 7 of 11.

Leading the offense for Tripp-Delmont-Armour was Megan Reiner with 16 points, 3 assists and 7 steals. Bailey Spaans had 11 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. From the field the team was 34% with 15 of 44, they were 23% for 3-point attempts with 3 of 13 and were 39% for 2-point attempts with 12 of 31. From the charity stripe the team was 52% sinking 12 of 23.

Leading the offense for Burke was Sally Hakin with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Adisyn Indahl had 12 points, Bridget Bartling had 6 points, Elly Witt had 9 assists.

Leading the offense for Scotland was Grace Fryda with 26 points and Makayla Friederich with 16 points, 11 rebounds and 3 steals. Audrey Sayler had 7 rebounds, Jenna Vitek had 6 rebounds, Kennedy Bietz and Bailey Vitek each had 3 assists and Bailey Vitek led in steals for the night with 4.

For the Great Plains Conference Championship game found Corsica-Stickney facing off against Andes Centra/Dakota Christian.

Leading the offense for Corsica/ Stickney was Rachel Gerlach with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Morgan Delange had 14 points and 3 steals. Raven Barse had 12 points and 10 rebounds. Morgan Clites had 4 assists and 3 steals.

Leading the offense for Andes Central/Dakota Christian was Lexie VanderPol with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Allie Muckey had 12 points and 5 rebounds. Mackenzie Muckey had 10 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals.

There were some great match ups for this tournament and at the end of the day, Corsica-Stickney too the title as Great Plains Conference Champions.
