Avon High School Drama Club competed in the Region IV competition on January 22nd in Mitchell. They received 2nd place, which advanced them to the State One Act Festival. Superior Individual Actor Awards were earned by Jake Namminga, Lexi Vanderlei, Anna Lupi, Ella Hamilton, Kate Swier, and Abby Gretschmann. Avon will perform the play at the state level on Friday, February 6th at 6:15 pm at the Brandon Valley Performing Arts Center in Brandon, SD. It is open to the public and free of cost. Jake Namminga also has an entry in the Theatrical Marketing competition that weekend in Brandon. Thank you to everyone who has supported us by attending our show in Avon and in Mitchell.
