AVON COMMUNITY BLOOD DRIVE: GIVING STRENGTH DURING NATIONAL BLOOD DONOR MONTH
By
January is National Blood Donor Month, and Avon community members are starting the new year by showing incredible generosity and heart. At the most recent Avon Community Blood Drive, 17 units of blood were collected from 15 donors - enough to help up to 51 patients in local hospitals. Two first-time donors also joined the LifeServe community, reminding us that every new donor brings fresh hope to patients and families facing critical medical challenges. Blood Donations: A Lifeline in the New Year The start of the year often brings busy schedules, winter weather, and lingering illness, all of which can lead to a drop in blood donations. However, the need for blood remains constant year-round. Every unit collected in Avon helps ensure that patients in our local hospitals continue receiving lifesaving care. From accident victims to those undergoing surgery or treatment, these donations make a powerful impact when it matters most. Cheers to Our Milestone Donors We proudly recognize donors who reached major milestones at this drive - your ongoing commitment helps ensure a strong and reliable blood supply for our community throughout the year: 03 GALLONEER NICK WOLF Special Thanks LifeServe Blood Center extends heartfelt thanks to Sandy Brandt and Zion Lutheran Church of Avon for hosting this vital community event.
