For the last 44 years, Ron’s Market has been owned and operated by Ron and Linda Pelton. Ron’s Market is the Avon grocery store that has been in operation since June 27, 1979. They have also been a member of the Avon Chamber of Commerce since 1979. Ron and Linda joined the Avon Chamber of Commerce because they felt it was a good waytobeinvolvedandpromote the Avon community.

Ronstartedoutasacarryout at the grocery store while he was still in high school in 1970. At the time he was making 50 cents an hour. He enjoyed the peopleandwhentheopportunity cametobuythelocalgrocery storethathehadworkedat,Ron Pelton took the opportunity.

Ron was born and raised in Avon. He has always enjoyed the friendly community and people. Avon is a place where everyone cares about their neighbors, which makes it a special and unique town. The Pelton’s are happy that their business can provide Avon and surrounding community customers with a place to buy good quality groceries locally. Ron and Linda enjoy running the grocery store and facing the challenges that come along with the ever-changing food business. Whether it be the changes in prices, quality of products,testingoutnewproducts or listening to the needs of theircustomers,theyareupfor the challenge.

Ron’s Market donates to many different organizations and school fundraisers in Avon. They have five employees. Ron’s Market offers a nice selection of groceries, meat, produce, household and hygiene items. They try to carry whatthepeopleofAvonaskfor. Somenewandinterestingmeat products that will be carried by the store are homemade bologna, wieners, Jaternice pork sausage, Italian sausage, German sausage, and tiger meat (seasoned ground beef).

Ron’s Market is open Monday through Saturday from 8 amuntil6pmandSundayfrom 9 am until 1 pm. Look for the upcoming Holiday promotions coming soon to the store.
