The Avon Chamber of Commerce invites you to join them Saturday, November 25th for their Kickoff to Christmas with Avon's Parade of Lights. The parade will start at 6 p.m. with a 5:15 p.m. line-up on the south end of Main Street across from Pour Corner. All entries are welcome - think small, think big, think candles, glow sticks or lights, ride a bike, drive a truck - anything Christmas goes with some great prizes. Make it a whole day in Avon with other fun events planned. Frozen Foot 5K Fun Run/Walk starts at 1 p.m. at Jurrens Electronics ($20 entry fee which includes a t-shirt, donuts and a treat bag). Christmas Reading at the City Library from 2 to 2:30 p.m. Selfies with Santa at the Pirate Prep Daycare from 2:30 to 3:15. Bingo at the Avon Fire Hall from 3 to 4:30 ($5 for two cards all afternoon). Chili Feed at Tolsma's Cove from 5 till it's gone (free will donation to go towards concert event in the park coming September 4, 2024 featuring Myron Kubal/Ivory). Music on Main at 6 p.m. featuring some great local talent. Giant Merchandise Drawing at 5:30 (sign up all day at local businesses until 4:30) must be present to win. Parade of Lights at 6 p.m. Christmas Karaoke after the parade at the Fire Hall (hosted by the Avon Fire Department).
