The Avon Pirates capped off Thursday night’s double-header against the Bon Homme Cavaliers in winning fashion, completing the sweep with an impressive team effort on February 5. Zander Fathke poured in 24 points and dished out an outstanding 11 assists to lead the offensive charge. Dominic Doom was sharp from beyond the arc, knocking down three-point shots on his way to 21 points, along with four rebounds, one assist and one steal. Al’Shamon Gunter turned in a dominant performance inside, finishing with 24 points and a commanding 18 rebounds. He also added one assist, one steal and four blocks to anchor the Pirates on both ends of the floor. Cale Cooper contributed five points, seven rebounds, one assist and two steals. Grayson Ratzlaff added two points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal, while Braylon Fathke recorded two points, two rebounds and one assist. Mason Jolley chipped in three points, and Brenson Ratzlaff added two. With the victory, the Pirates improve their season record to 5-10, building momentum as they move further into the second half of the schedule.
