The American Legion Auxiliary of Arthur Wissman Post #150 of Avon sponsored the Poppy Poster contest at Avon Public School recently. We appreciate the students and teachers for taking time to honor our nation's military personnel and the parents for encouraging their children to remember those who go to combat to preserve our freedoms.

Posters drawn by Kaylee DeJong, Ellanora Grant, Beau Tolsma, Ashley Tolsma, Tiffany Ridgway and Kaden Mixon will be sent on to the American Legion Auxiliary Department of South Dakota for further judging as we are able to submit one poster from each Contest Class. Congratulations to all the winners.
