Ashley Maire Tolsma is the daughter of Jeff Tolsma and Misty Hanvey and the stepdaughter of Joe Hanvey. Ashley has ten siblings: Kim, Beau, Cameron, Chapin, Cale, Charlie, Dylan, Jake, Cody, and Katlyn. She enjoys reading, lifting, spending time at the gym, hanging out with Cameron, wrestling, and playing softball. Ashley’s schedule is filled with many intriguing subjects, but her favorite would have to be Anatomy/Physiology, because she finds it interesting and fun. One quote Ashley lives by is, “It is what it is,” because it reminds her to roll with the punches and not get sour about difficult situations. Ashley’s biggest role model in her life is her dad because he has always been there for her, and he always knows what to do. Ashley’s advice to underclassmen, “Just take your time on things and don’t stress out too much like I did.” Ashley’s greatest accomplishments during her time at AHS were being elected the 2024-25 Student Body President and placing as State Wrestling during the first year she went out. Once Ashley graduates, she will be leaving June 2nd for Basic Training, and then will be doing AIT (Advanced Individual Training) until next Christmas becoming a Combat Medic. Then, she plans to attend SDSU’s Pre-Physicians Associate Program. Ashley’s favorite memory from AHS is participating in all the homecoming activities with her class since they were so outgoing. The one thing Ashley will miss the most when she graduates are all the conversations she gets to have with the people she won’t get to see anymore.
