AREA BUSINESSES ENCOURAGED TO BECOME ACTIVE 605 UNITY JAM PARTNERS

By
Dana Sanderson

The 605 Unity Jam will be held on Sunday, June 13 at the Wagner Lake park area. Much of the event planning part of the project is coming to an end as we come closer to the event date. A wide variety of activities are being planned for this special event and will include: a Bean Bag Tournament, a fishing contest for children, inflatables and carnival games, arts and crafts, food venders, a variety of culture related programing and lots of music throughout the day. Since it is unknown how many people will attend this event, no cars or parking will be permitted in the park due to safety concerns. Prior to this date several individuals and businesses were approached and asked if they would be interested or willing to become a financial partner to help make this even possible for the community. If you had thought about supporting this special event for the community you are greatly encouraged to contact Dana Sanderson as soon as possible so you can be added to the roster of those who are helping. The Unity Jam still has openings for food venders and arts and craft venders as well. Also, if you are interested or willing to share some of your cultural heritage in small group settings you are also encouraged to contact Dana Sanderson (605-491-0804) as well to become part of the programing. Helping others to better understand your cultural background can really help in bringing us better understanding and appreciation of each other.
