ARE YOU WILLING TO SHARE YOUR LIFE STORIES BEFORE THEY ARE GONE FOR EVER?
The 605 Unity Team is looking for area elders who would be willing to share some of their memories, stories and wisdom with others during the 605 Unity JAM event that is coming to Wagner on Sunday, June 11 at the Wagner Lake Park. The event focuses on the importance and value of unity for our community. Elders understand this probably more than anyone and have opinions and thoughts about such things. They also have interesting and wonderful memories and stories about their life, their families and friends. They also possess stories about those who came before them and there are people in the community who would like to learn from those memories and stories. Will you consider sharing what you know?
We are reserving the gazebo on the south side of the lake during very specific times of the day for sharing and learning. We are hoping that area elders would bring a friend or family to sit with them as they share their life stories and memories with others who are there to listen. We will set a dozen chairs in a half circle on the gazebo as that is the size of the crowd we want to serve as listeners during these special times. The sessions will last only about 25 minutes each and this can serve as an important time to keep those memories and stories living on for years to come.
Are you someone or do you know of someone who would be willing to share these valuable stories and memories before they are gone for ever? If this is possible, please contact Dana Sanderson at 605-491-0804 and let us know you are willing to share.
