11 Corinthians 4:14-18 14) ' Knowing that he which raised up Jesus shall raise us up also by Jesus, and present us with you.
15) For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many rebound to the glory of God.
16) For which cause we faint not: but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
17) For our light affliction, which is just for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18) While we look not at the things that are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for he things that are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.'(KJV) First off we are reminded that (He, God the Father )who raised up Jesus shall raise us up also by Jesus when He comes back (at the rapture) for His believers--and takes us back to heaven and presents us to His Father as those who have received Him. All those who have received Him ( have been saved ) will be raised up at His coming. He has given all things for our sakes, for our pleasure, that obedience to His will, will amount to abundance grace--and by giving glory to God there will be plenty of grace given to us.
So we don't have to be concerned about all the things going around us.because we know that the outward man perish (For it is appointed unto all men once to die) yet while knowing this--we by serving the Lord everyday the inward man is renewed day by day as we serve Him.
For our light affliction is for a moment (life is but a vapor--it appears for a little while and then vanishes away) serving the Lord worketh for us exceeding and eternal weight for the glory of God.
So while we look not at the things which are not seen, we realize no matter what they are-- they are only temporal, eventually they will go away. But we look forward to the things that are not seen (by faith) because they are promised to us by God to be eternal.
JOHN 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.'(KJV) Are you one? Just Thought I'd Ask
