Everyone is welcome to attend the 2019 flag retirement ceremony and potluck picnic at the Hurd-Monfore Farm (40110 County Road 2, Wagner -- located 15 miles west of Springfield) on Tuesday, August 13th, at 6:30 p.m. Please bring your unserviceable flags. The event is sponsored by the Avon American Legion Auxiliary, which will provide burgers, buns, and beverages. Guests are asked to bring desserts, salads, or hot dishes.
