This week’s featured Andes Central Senior is Carlin Hopkins. Carlin is the son of Charles and Tracey Hopkins. Carlin has three siblings that also attend Andes Central: Adura, Mila and Finnegan. During his high school years, Carlin has been involved in both football and wrestling for four years, track for a year, band, marching band, chorus and All-State Chorus. For community service, he has been a part of picking up trash around Lake Andes. Walking tacos is Carlin’s favorite school lunch and his favorite high school teacher is Mrs. Maynard. Mrs. Maynard is a very caring teacher who has a vast amount of patience with her students.
Do your work on time would be the advice that Carlin has for the underclassmen. His favorite high school memory would be taking school pictures for dress up days. Carlin will most miss participating in and watching Andes Central sports when he graduates.
After graduation, Carlin will be attending Mitchell Technical College. In ten years, Carlin sees himself working for an HVAC company. If Carlin could meet anyone living or deceased, he would like to meet Zach Bryan. The most influential people in Carlin’s life have been his parents, Charles and Tracey. He feels that way because they have always been there for him and have pushed Carlin to be better.
Enjoy your last year of high school and best of luck in your future endeavors.
