The 2024-2025 school year for AndesCentralhasanewfaceastheir elementary guidance counselor, Robby Thompson. Robby joins the Andes Central staff as a long-time educator of different grades and types of teaching. He has taught Industrial Arts, been a coach, a guidance counselor, and been a part of school administration.

As a teacher, Robby has always been interested in athletics and construction, which led him to start out his educational career as an Industrial Arts teacher and coach. When asked what made him want to be a part of the Andes Central educational team, Robby said that he wanted to continue to work in education and the location of Lake Andes was a perfect fit. Before taking the position with Andes Central, he was a school administrator.

What Robby is looking forward to thisyearismeetingthestaff,students and parents. His goal for this year is to try to do the best of his ability to help for the betterment of the Andes School System.

Robby is originally from Neligh, NE. He is married with four children and ten grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing and watching sports. Robby’s favorite movie is The Waterboy. One item on his bucket list is to take an Alaskan cruise.
