Brevan Hooks joined the Andes Central School staff this 2023-2024 school year as the K-12 physical education and health teacher. He will also be coaching 7th and 8th grade boys’ basketball this winter. Brevan graduated from college last spring. He enjoys watching sports, particularly the Dallas Cowboys, Michigan Wolverines and the Los Angeles Lakers in his free time. His other hobbies include hunting and fishing.

Hooks was born and raised in Huron, SD. His dad, Gordon, works for Andes Central as the Athletic Director, and his mom, Kelli, is a manager at Taco Johns in Huron. Brevan has a sister, Kenli, who is a freshman at Wolsey Wessington School and a brother, Hayden, who works construction and is the head Boys Basketball and Football coach at Wolsey Wessington School. He has a cockapoo named Snickers. One item on Brevan’s bucket list would be to attend a Dallas Cowboys football home game in Texas. In Brevan’s short time at Andes Central, he has enjoyed getting to know all the students and staff. He is really excited about getting to work with everyone this school year. His personal goal for the school year is to get better every day. Brevan hopes to be able to connect with and relate to all his students.
