The 2023 Andes Central Homecoming Candidates for King and Queen are seniors Cole Bergin, Carlin Hopkins, Anaias White Eyes, Riata Bultje, Claire Johnson and Nevaeh Morgan. Coronation will be held Thursday, October 5th at 7:15 p.m. Candidates are selected by their fellow senior class members and are elected by the voting of the high school student body. Let’s meet the candidates.
Here are the candidates for Homecoming Queen.
Riata Bultje is the daughter of Brice and Darci Bultje. During her time at Andes Central, Riata has been involved in Future Farmers of America (FFA), band, choir, and National Honor Society. Her hobbies include working with horses, painting, watching Netflix and working cows. Riata’s favorite part of homecoming week is the dress up days. As a senior, she is looking forward most to the homecoming football game and parade. Riata plans to encourage other Andes Central students to participate in all the homecoming activities and dress up for the fun dress-up days. To Riata, being homecoming queen would mean being seen as a good role model for the underclassmen.
Claire Johnson is the daughter of Brian and Katherine Johnson. Claire has been involved in many school activities during her years at Andes Central including volleyball, basketball, track, National Honor Society, All-State Choir and an elementary peer mentor. She enjoys reading, watching movies, spending time with her nephews, family and friends and listening to music. As a senior, Claire is looking forward most to the homecoming parade. She plans to work with the elementary students to explain whathomecomingweek isandhow they can show their school spirit. It would mean a lot to Claire to be homecomingqueen.Sheplanstobe on stage with her fellow candidates having a great time regardless of who wins.
Nevaeh Morgan is the daughter of Brian Morgan Sr. During her years at Andes Central, she has been very involved in basketball, volleyball, is the National Honor Society President, Mentor Program and Feeding America. Her hobbies include going to the gym, watching Netflix and hanging out with friends. Her favorite part of homecoming week is the football game. Nevaeh, as a senior, is looking forward to seeing everyone cometogetherduringhomecoming week. She plans to get other students excited about homecoming by participating herself in all the fun activities and showing other students how much fun it is. It would be an honor for her to be chosen as the 2024 Homecoming Queen.
Here are the candidates for Homecoming King.
Cole Bergin is the son of Wayne Jr. and Jayme Bergin. Cole has been a part of football, National Honor Society and FFA during his time at Andes Central. He enjoys working on the family farm and hunting. Cole’s favorite part of homecoming week is the football game. During homecoming week, Cole is looking forward the most to making memories and having fun with friends. He plans to get other students involved and excited about homecoming by showing them how much fun participating in the activities can be. Being crowned Homecoming King to Cole would mean being able to represent Andes Central.
Carlin Hopkins is the son of Charles and Tracey Hopkins. During his years at Andes Central, Carlin has been a part of football, wrestling, band, and marching band. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, spending time with his family and playing baseball. Carlin’s favorite part of homecoming week is dressing up for the dress-up days. His senior year homecoming week, Carlin is looking forward to the most having the opportunity to be Homecoming King. He plans to get other students involved in the homecoming activities by having fun and being involved in the activities and encouraging others. To Carlin, being crownedHomecomingKing,would mean that his fellow students see him as a good role model.
Anaias White Eyes is the son of Natanee Patterson. Basketball, JAG and golf are activities that Anaias has been involved in during his high school years at Andes Central. His hobbies include listening to music, fishing and spending time with his loved ones. Anaias is looking forward most to the experience of homecoming week and the memories that will be made. He plans to get other students involved in homecoming week activities by using his social media and showing how much fun it is. To be crowned HomecomingKingtoAnaiaswould be an experience that very few people get to experience in life.
