MATTHEW 7: 24-27 24) 'Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine and do them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25) And the rain descended, and the flood came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not, for it was founded upon a rock.

26) And anyone that heareth these sayings of mine and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built hi house upon the sand.

27) And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house: and it fell: and great was the fall of it.'(KJV) When Jesus was speaking about His sayings---He was speaking of His word spoken to them----Today He is speaking to us--of God's Word--the Bible.

He said to hear them and to do them.

Those who read them, hear them and do them will have a solid faith--that is built upon a Rock--that Rock is Jesus.

During their life there may be storms of temptations come along, and the winds of false doctrines (teachings) will blow that will try to knock your faith down.

But staying in the Word of God, building your continued faith in Jesus--your faith will be solid as a rock--on Jesus our Rock of Salvation, totally secure and He will never fail you.

For others who do not follow God's Word in their life will fall for all the storms of life and fall for Satan's temptations, and deny Jesus a their Savior--will not be on solid faith but will eventually fall away from God--not on the Rock of Jesus but on slippery sand leading to a pit of fire.

It is better to know, love and honor and serve the Lord Jesus-our solid Rock.
