Greer Unit #11, American Legion Auxiliary held their monthly meeting December 21 at the Post Home with 12 members present.

The meeting was called to order by President Linda Youngbluth. Chaplain Margie Stone read the opening prayer. The Pledge of Allegiance and American Legion Auxiliary Preamble were recited in unison.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

The Treasurer's report was given and approved.

Correspondence was read from the District 8 President Karen Richlein.

Community Service chairman, Margie Stone reported appropriate cards had been sent.

Report on membership was given. We have 71 paid members. Goal is 85.

It was reported that Christmas cards had been sent to active military and also veterans and auxiliary members in nursing homes or home bound.

Thank you to auxiliary members that furnished a salad or dessert for the December meal.

Discussed the different things that the American Legion Auxiliary members can do and benefits they can receive.

The basket was won by Margie Stone and donated back to the Children and Youth Fund.

As there was no further business to come before the meeting, Chaplain Margie Stone read the prayer for peace and President Linda Youngbluth adjourned the meeting.
