American Legion Auxiliary to Greer Post #11 submitted by Jeanette Fuchs, Secretary.

Greer Unit #11, American Legion Auxiliary met on October 21, 2021 at the Post home with 15 members present. The meeting was called to order by President Juanita Stone. Chaplain Margie Stone opened with prayer. The Pledge of Allegiance and American Legion Auxiliary Preamble were recited in union.

Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read. The treasurers report was given and approved.

Bill was presented by Linda Youngbluth for gifts sent to the Hot Springs State Veterans Home. Motion made by Delores Kotab to pay bill. Motion seconded and carried.

Membership chairman Barbara Kucera, reported that we have 58 paid members. Goal is 77.

Community Services chairman, Margie Stone, reported on appropriate card that were sent. Members present signed a get well card for Dept. Chaplain Wendy Henley.

Correspondence was read from the District President Ruth Williams National President, Kathy Daudsistel, will be in Yankton on October 26, 2021.

Thank you cards were read from special Olympics and Children's Miracle Network for the donations sent to them.

Education week is Nov. 15-19, 2021. Cookies will be furnished by the auxiliary to show appreciation to staff of the Wagner Community school.

Auxiliary members, attending the Veteran's Day Program on November 11, 2021 at the school, are asked to wear their vests with white shirts and dark pants.

Linda Youngbluth made a motion to donate money for make a difference day to Good Samaritan Center to purchase Halloween candy. Motion seconded and carried.

Margie Stone made a motion to serve lunch at Cancer Rummage sale on Nov. 5, 2021. Motion seconded and carried. Margie Stone and Sandy Seiner will be the Co-chairman.

Rita Remme won the basket and donated it back to children and youth fund.

As there was no further business to come before the meeting, chaplain Margie stone read the prayer for peace and president Juanita Stone adjourned the meeting.
