Greer unit #11, American Legion Auxiliary met December 17th at the post home with eight members present. The meeting was called to order by President Juanita Stone. Chaplain Margie Stone opened with prayer. The Pledge of Allegiance and American Legion Auxiliary Preamble were recited in unison.

Minutes of the previous meeting were read and corrected. The treasurers report was given and approved. No bills were reported. Correspondence was read from district President Ruth Williams. Membership Chairman Barb Kucera reported 73 paid members, our goal is 78.

Unfinished business: We collected both money and goods for the food program. Linda Youngbluth sent out Thanksgiving cards and Christmas Cards and cards for the deployed were sent out. The Christmas cards locally will be sent and distributed this week. Thanksgiving 14 home and 17 mailed. The Good deed award arrived, and is to be presented.

New Business: Barb Kucera brought a surprise for Project 10, thank you! Information for the Poem contest, Americanism contest and Poppy poster contest was received and will be taken to the school. Other new business, Linda Youngbluth asked that we save used stamps to be used by the VA. Also Christmas card fronts, and all occasion card fronts, these will be used for crafts at the nursing home.

The coin basket was won by Bonnie and donated back. As there being no other business to come before the meeting, Chaplain Margie Stone read the prayer for peace and President Juanita Stone adjourned the meeting at 7:35 p.m.
